                               RESOLUTION NO. 20674
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR OF
                  THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE AN
                  AGREEMENT WITH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF
                  TRANSPORTATION RELATIVE TO REPLACEMENT OF THE
                  BRIDGE AND APPROACHES OF THIRD STREET OVER THE
                  NORFOLK SOUTHERN RAILROAD FOR A CONSIDERATION
                  OF ONE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND
                  DOLLARS ($1,140,000.00).
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to execute an
       Agreement with the Tennessee Department of Transportation 
relative
       to preliminary engineering, right of way and construction to
       replace the bridge and approaches of Third Street over the 
Norfolk
       Southern Railroad for twenty percent (20%) of the actual cost or
       $1,140,000.00.
